Avanza Global Performance
Two advanced VVT-i engines are available - a 1.5-litre 3SZ-VE twin-cam (standard on G) and a 1.3 litre K3-VE twin-cam(standard on DLX) - both of which boast top-of-class power and fuel efficiency. The transmission has been optimised for smooth acceleration, further adding to fuel efficiency. The AVANZA provides an exceptionally comfortable cabin, with unmatched practical versatility. Its unique highly efficient packaging clearly separates it from the MPV crowd. 3 full rows of comfortable seats accommodate up to 7 occupants and the seats can be configured in a variety of ways to suit personal needs. The full-cabin air conditioning increases occupant comfort. Rear-seat passangers benefit from a dual air conditioner attached to the rear cabin ceiling with adjustable temperature available from front or rear seats.
Wide-opening doors ease cabin entry and exit. A spacious cargo room facilitates loading,/unloading of luggage and gear, and a wide variety of storage spaces keep everything properly in its place.

AVANZA SAFETY

Minimum turning radius

The multipurpose van built with Toyota superior quality craftsmanship with its impact-absorbing body, the AVANZA achieved excellent results in front and side-crash testing. Rigid side-impact beams contribute to occupant safety in the event of a side crash. SRS (Supplementary Restraint System) airbags are available for the driver and front passenger. Despite its relatively long wheelbase, a minimum turning radius of just 4.7 meters makes the AVANZA a joy to drive-even in tight urban conditions.
  

Body structure: The lightweight yet highly rigid monocoque body structure helps ensure responsive driving performance with excellent stability. Additional anti-chip coating helps protect rocker panels.

Suspension: The AVANZA's suspension system delivers excellent all round handling and ride comfort, with well-proven MacPherson struts in front and 4-link coil springs with a lateral rod in the rear.

ABS & brakes: ABS (Anti-lock Bracking System) helps prevent wheel-lock in sudden situations, adding to steering performance. 13-inch front discs are backed up by 8-inch rear drums, for smooth, excellent stopping perfomance. Multi-reflector headlamps offer best-in-class driver visibility. An LED high-mount stop lamp is easily visible to following drivers. Rear-window defoggers and wipers improve rear visibility in inclement weather. Large, electrical remote control-type outer mirrors improve rear visibility. 3-point ELR seatbelts are available for 2nd-row outer seats and 3rd-row seats. (Seatbelts are available for all 7 occupants.) 3rd-row headrests are designed for an unobstructed rear view.
